The Crisis Ward

The Crisis Ward

They don’t care

They are just doing their job …

Now I’ve been there of a couple times

Inside the white small rooms

with nothing but your thoughts

Now Ain’t that crude?

Cuz You in there

Since sumthin ain’t right in the mind

But they take your clothes

Tell you put these blues on

Sit on a flat bed with nothing but your mind

That broken mind that sent you in the crisis

Now ain’t that crude.

If You act up

Get to loud

Get tired of sitting there for hrs with nothing to do

Btw this can last more Than a couple of days too

They will just medicate you

Give you a needle

And put you to sleep

Now Ain’t that crude ?

I been in those white rooms a couple times

& I definitely been medicated too

But This time I was sitting on the outside of the white room

Tryin to get different medicine because my made me a bumbling fool

& my doctor couldn’t even remember who I was

They don’t care about you

But if you Get to loud

if you seem to aggressive

Don’t cooperate with their ways

They will just medicate you

Give you a needle to put you to sleep

Now ain’t that crude ?

But this time,

I wasn’t encage in a white room

I had my clothes on

they didn’t tell me to put on some blues

And I just watch as tears was being wailed

I just watch as some couldn’t do nothing but be in there thoughts locked in a room

It’s crazy how you tell someone like me

Who has schizophrenia To sit in a room and just think

Like I ain’t hearing other thoughts that’s potentially harmful to me

Let that sink

Now Ain’t that crude ?

But if you Start getting too loud

they will just medicate you fool

The crisis ward can be a scary place

if you not complying with the rules

Even though you have the rights to be treated right.

They only have your rights printed in one room

Even though they say this crisis ward is to help you fix your mind

But medication and pills are their only immediate solution to your mental problems

How crude it is to be in the crisis room

Black guards

White nurses & foreign doctors

None from the city

But there to get their big pennies

As I watch, they almost tried to medicate a black Queen who speak creole

Because she was crying and talking the way they do, when they are emotional

She just wanted to go home

And was pretty compliant the whole time

She just wanted to go home back to her family alright

But the doctors who didn’t speak creole said she wasn’t doing alright

The black guards were get ready to strap her down

They was about to put her sleep alright

But another black nurse who spoke creole saved her

Said it was nothing wrong she just emotional alright

And she doesn’t feel comfortable being injected with medication

that she doesn’t know what’s contained inside

So the doctor sadly replied alright but she should take some pills

Ain’t that crazy, for what though ?

talking out loud and crying

Now ain’t that crude ?

She was saved thanks to Allah …

The Crisis ward

Those doctors don’t care

They are just doing their jobs

Collecting their money

while you go through a crisis in your mind

Now Is pills and medication a true solution

To person who THEY say have mental problems?
