I stare at them from the lonely outskirts,
My skin resembles the dirt I live in,

I stare at the walled society from the lonely outskirts.

I Observe how the sheep created a tight circular barrier around their shepherds.

So, I have become vigilant about my moves.
Because I was once a sheep just like them,

Until I realize the wool I was wearing, was actually nothing but a mental costume.

An sly ruse, to keep you under the shepherd shoe.

The shepherds dance,sing,& rap;
Even gave the sheep social media and tv,

So the shepherds can even entertain,
The sheep all the way in the back.

So I glared at them from the lonely outskirts,

Since I realized my skin is brown,
Just like the dirt I live in.
But not crayon black,

Like how the shepherds describe to the sheep all the way in the back.

So, I glared at the sheep that created circular walls around the shepherds.

The Sheep all look the same, & carry the same despicable stench.

Have mercy!

For the sheep stuck in the mental fence …
For I was once a sheep just like them …

Until I started howling,
instead of baaing ¡

I started growling,
Instead of accepting, !

I began to lead,
& So I stop following

The other sheep were baffled,
By my changes

The other sheep teased and pick at my strangeness,
The other sheep despised my uniqueness,

To the point where I had to question myself:

Is it okay to be different ?”

“Aren’t we human ?”

“If we all are suppose to be the same, then why is all our thumb prints all different ?!”

Then, a sense of clarity struck me like lightening striking the earth.

& The mental fence the shepherds were

Building, since I have been on this earth crumbled.

&, I was a sheep no more …

But a Melanin Young man,

Who struck fear in the shepherds like the wolves !
