Trying to Put My Foot in A Black Woman Shoe

Trying to Put My Foot in A Black Woman Shoe

She was beautiful all her life.

Saturated with different shades of melanin,

The black Woman stands out,

So they envy & adored her,

as if she was Christ,

Because they can’t take their eyes off her black beauty,

So Society lost sight,

Of the queen she really was.

The Black woman,

Is the beautiful rose thorn bush in the garden,

So everyone stares at her beauty

But nobody wants to be poke by her thorns

Love her

voluptuous red pedals that’s on her stem

But everyone wants to ignore her pain,

Her thorns

The Black Woman can go in great detail about lust

& the feelings of always being desired

But can’t elaborate on what means to be love

& to be Warmed by someone healing touch

So she became isolated,

While constantly being surrounded,

Being known by everyone,

But actually nobody knew her

Bless with being all the colors in the rainbow

Was the curse that held her captive

So She became an actress,

Mastering art of facial expressions

Always smiling so bright

even though she face depression

They say a way to understand someone is too go & take a walk in their shoes

& I came to realize my black foot is too big

To fit in the black women shoe

I cannot even take 3 steps in her 6 inch silhouettes

My Foot began to sweat when trying to put on the black women red bottoms

So I Couldn’t imagine trying to wearing these heels for 3 hrs

My feet hurting just because society said I must always look like so damn model

My melanin ladies

Are beautiful rose thorn bushes that are living without any roots

An remarkable woman

Who is prison by her beauty

Because With all eyes on her

Everyone lost sight of her

Black woman woes

In this moment time her existence is an contradiction

& throughout all this

Black woman just keeps moving

She is so strong, so intelligent

She literally stands for perseverance,

She is the prime example of Tupac words

“The Rose that grew from the concrete ”

She is more than a piece of ass in a video

She is more than her tits & hips in her Instagram photo

She is peace

She is grace

A Teacher by nature

An care giver, an nurturer by design

She comes from the divine

The African Woman created us all

So stop trying to trap her in these tight ass heels

The Black woman is human

With her own mind
